NOVICE 4 & 5 HOCKEY SCHOOL
N.A.S.C. Hockey is pleased to announce the return of Chuck Dill and "4 The
Luv of Hockey" Skills Development team for the 2009/2010 hockey season. N.A.S.C.
is honoured to be partnered with Chuck in continuing and improving upon our
achievements of this very successful introduction to hockey program. The
addition of our removable ice boards this year has been able to assist in
bringing the program an added level of structure and allows us to introduce the
program to a larger number of kids.
Our learn hockey programs are so well received,
they're "often
imitated, never duplicated" .
We pride ourselves in being the first and
the leader in Oshawa in "grassroots" hockey development.
For a child who is just getting started, having fun and learning the basics
is the key to building confidence. In order to satisfy both areas, N.A.S.C.
Hockey is pleased to announce the return of Chuck
Dill and “4 The Luv of Hockey” Instructors to its offering. All at
NO additional cost to participants!
N.A.S.C. "SUPER NOVICE"
NOVICE AGED INSTRUCTIONAL HOCKEY PROGRAM

Those players who have graduated from our "SUPER SIX" Instructional Hockey Program
are the focus of this new and exciting extended program offering.
All Novice players (7 and 8 year olds) will participate on their assigned teams and continue to
thrive and learn in their weekly program ( 1 game / 1 practice per week)
however, the players will be scheduled "every-other-week" to
attend an additional structured "hockey skills program".
The focus of the N.A.S.C. hockey school is to continue the teachings of the
successful "4 Luv of Hockey"
4&5 year-old hockey school and "SUPER SIX" Instructional Hockey Programs. The ice is broken into stations so that all players are active and are introduced to many different skating and puck control scenarios. Coaches and parent volunteers are encouraged to help and they also become students as well by learning the drills and techniques.
The drills in the hockey school are structured in a progressive fashion with the focus always being to teach the player to be confident on their feet. Skating,
skating, skating...The rest as a result, will come naturally...
Based on the success of our two existing programs, we've already proven our
approach is correct

MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRPERSON
Let's try to put House League Hockey in Perspective
Back in Novice, there was about two minutes left to play in a playoff game and I was anxiously pacing behind the bench, barking out whatever instructions seemed important at that very moment. You watch the game and you watch the clock in those final seconds, at the very same time....
